Heather Eugene : Guest Teacher Heather Eugene began dancing as a child with Frances Fera (currently of Young Dancers of Canada) who owned and operated a dance studio in North York, Ontario. Always having the love of dance in her heart, continued her lessons in her adult years with George Randolph and various other teachers at workshops and conventions. Over the past few years, Heather has had the opportunity to further her tap dancing with Henry LeTang, the famed Tony award winning coreographer in Las Vegas. She was also privileged to have taken a master class from the late great Gregory Hines. Heather enjoyed taking her dance training to the stage and performed in local shows around Toronto, specifically Berlin Nightclub in 1987/88 as well as in Acapulco, Mexico. Heather began teaching dance in 1990 at various locations in Toronto, focusing on Heather's Hoofer's, teaching adults tap dancing for fun and exercise. Many of her students appeared on Breakfast Television, at old aged homes, the CNE and at Nathan Philips Square. Many of her former students remain good friends today. |
